Have you thought about starting a blog but don’t know where to begin? Blogging is a great way to make some extra income and write about things you love. Do you have a hobby or expertise? It can be anything!!

So now you have a topic but where do you start?
- Pick a name for your blog. Something catchy and original. You don’t have to purchase the domain name but I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the domain name before you even get started. Trust me, it will save you some headaches later. Just go to GoDaddy to see if your domain name is available.
- Now that you have a name, you need to choose the platform you want to use to publish your site. You have two choices. The first option is Blogger. Blogger is great because it is FREE. You won’t have to pay a monthly hosting fee to publish your blog. Blogger also has free templates to use if HTML scares you
The second option is WordPress. WordPress is great and very flexible but you will need to pay a monthly hosting fee in order to use the service. GoDaddy also provides inexpensive hosting options. I believe the cheapest option is $5.99 a month. Blue Host also has inexpensive hosting packages. - Next, you will want to figure out how to monetize your site. There are tons of ways to monetize your blog. I will touch on a few of my favorites.
