Focus Groups
Focus Groups in my opinion are one of the easiest ways to make a little extra income. Companies are always looking for opinions on new products and services. Focus Groups are typically conducted in person and pay you the same day. Focus Groups can also be held via the phone, webcam and online research boards. Payment is typically sent 4 weeks later for online focus groups.
Most Focus Groups pay really well. I have been paid anywhere from $75 to $150 for several hours of my time. Sometimes they will ask you to go out and purchase a product. In those cases, you will be reimbursed for the product and get to keep it afterwords. Other times, you may be viewing a product or service online with another group of people.
There are quite a few reputable marketing companies that run valuable research for major brand companies. The main thing I always tell people is to NEVER pay to sign up for a focus group.
